This school year, we are encouraging every family to fill out a School Meal Application regardless of financial circumstance. Filling out the application guarantees our school will receive close to $200,000 in additional Federal funding to support school programs such as:
-After-school childcare
-STEAM enrichment classes
-Art and music lessons
-Homework and tutoring clubs
-Wellness programs

Dear Colfax Elementary Families,
We will begin partnering with the Placer Food Bank to help solve child hunger by providing on-going, monthly nutritious food to children and their families in our school community. Starting in October, the Placer Food Bank School Pantry will begin delivering food the third and fourth Friday of every month to Colfax Elementary. This program is only intended for families of students currently attending Colfax Elementary. Dear Colfax Elementary Families,
For the 2023-2024 school year, we are proud to partner with the Placer County Repertory Theater to provide an after-school Visual and Performing Arts Academy. The Academy runs the entire school year and is free and available to students in grades TK-8th grade. To participate, student attendance is required five days a week from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is also an option for students to attend longer from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Participation is limited to 32 students and is determined on a first come, first served basis by grade for students who submit a complete registration form. Registration begins August 1st! Please turn completed registration forms into our main office for time/date stamp. If you have any questions, please contact us at 530 346-2202 starting on August 1st.

You are cordially invited to the 15th Annual Summer Festival Free School Supply Giveaway. The festival is for all students K-12 on Saturday, July 22nd 9:30-11:30am. Please park at Colfax Elementary School and you will be safely guided to COLFAX BAPTIST CHURCH LOCATED AT 24850 BEN TAYLOR ROAD. There will be a large jump house, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, multiple community organizations with giveaways, a "selfie" photo booth, prize drawings (and other giveaways), a canon that shoots out soft toys, a bracelet and keychain making booth, and much more. Students MUST be present in order to receive supplies.

The City of Colfax is asking for input on the Downtown Connectivity and Main Street Improvement Plan.
